About The Service
The health protection support team (formerly Test, Trace and Protect) is a service that was created to help with the global pandemic that arose in 2020 due to Covid 19. The service has expanded since then and now deals with several communicable diseases and wider health protection support work. The service is hosted by Cardiff Council on behalf of Welsh Government.
About the job
We are looking to recruit a number of enthusiastic individuals to join our team and assist in providing a high standard of customer service to our service users. The post holder will be required to contact, support & advise a wide range of citizens in relation to communicable diseases and wider health protection measures, this can be both inbound calls, outbound calls and email. You will work collaboratively with various partner organisations & advice agencies to provide a fully accessible and reactive service for our users. Ability to work from home remotely – requires strong and reliable broadband. You will be required to attend an office for training/meeting purposes as and when required, a minimum of once a month. You may also be required to work from a nominated office within stakeholder organisations. Shifts are based on a rota and may vary according to service needs. Service operational hours are 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week including bank holidays. (Currently the service operates from 9am to 5pm)
What We Are Looking For From You
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a customer focussed environment or working with communicable diseases, have excellent communication, planning, prioritisation and analysis skills. They will be an excellent team player who takes an enthusiastic and responsible approach to all tasks. You must have the ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales. The post holder must be proficiency in using IT and have experience in using customer relationship management tools (CRM).
