In 2020 LCP launched our Heath Analytics practice, providing analytical and research services for organisations across the life sciences and healthcare industries. Our team brings together clinicians, statisticians, epidemiologists, health economists and health data scientists alongside our established actuarial, analytics and technology teams to deliver new solutions for the fundamental challenges in health. Our team’s mission is to help move health systems from importers of illness to exporters of health and to support our clients to deliver value to patients. We have already developed a track record for leading approaches to real world evidence generation, health economic modelling and innovative reimbursement design.

What's the role?
Joining LCP’s Health Analytics team will provide you with opportunities to work with our different service areas, understanding how these can help clients solve challenges and identifying new business opportunities where we can add value. The role also provides a unique opportunity to make a real difference by supporting and developing the impact work the Health Analytics team contribute to, spotting and delivering on win-win opportunities which make a difference to society whilst also building the brand of LCP Health Analytics in this space.
This is an opportunity for a client focussed marketer to really get under the skin of our future and current clients and our wider stakeholder groups to help us get the right messages to the right people at the right time. You’ll develop strategies and tactics that resonate with the health and life sciences sectors, while also working closely with the wider BD & Marketing team to share intelligence and insight, maximise the value of our brand marketing for the Health Analytics team and spot opportunities to work across sectors.
What will you be doing?
You will be involved in a diverse range of projects, focusing on marketing and business development work. You will work collaboratively across the team to develop and deliver an effective marketing strategy to our key clients, prospects and stakeholders in the life science industry.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading day-to-day marketing activities
- To support our strategic growth objectives by designing and driving cross-team marketing plans and projects including coordination and project management of key milestones
- Use your sector knowledge and expertise to develop messaging, propositions and marketing material that resonate with our audiences
- Identify the right industry events for us to have a presence at and help us make the most out of those opportunities
- Drive “owned” events such as webinars, briefings and roundtables, developing ideas, targeting and engaging the right attendees, and coordinating follow up
- Contribute to the development or a framework to measure ROI from marketing activities, sharing results and insight with the senior Health Analytics team and the head of BD
- Input into and quality assure external materials including reports, blogs and proposals, as well as maintaining high-quality bidding collateral, working with the central bids team where appropriate to ensure consistency
- Deliver an effective social media content plan, drafting posts, responses to others, blogs and other assets in real time to raise awareness and engage our audiences, while ensuring LCP brand characteristics and social media policy and guidelines are accurately reflected in all the teams’ materials
- Managing posting for the Health Analytics Linked In and Twitter channels
Supporting business development
- Supporting the team’s Strategic Growth Lead with business development by spotting opportunities with potential clients and promoting our service areas with well-drafted proposals
- Designing and delivery of high-quality, on-brand, eye-catching prospecting and proposal materials
- Maintaining timely and accurate CRM reporting
- Developing ABM (account based marketing) strategies for key clients and prospects. There may be the potential to grow into the role of an Account Manager for either an existing client or LCP partner organisation
- Coaching and supporting colleagues in the Health Analytics team in marketing and business development as well as supporting with horizon scanning for new opportunities
What skills, qualities and experience are we looking for?
Experience & qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in a marketing and/ or business development role within the life sciences or healthcare industries (e.g. Consulting, CRO, Industry and/or charity)
- A 2:1 degree or better in a sciences and/ or marketing and communications subject or equivalent experience or training, with a master’s in marketing would be a advantageous as well as a sound understanding of the ABPI code
Communication skills
- Exceptionally strong oral and written communication skills, along with experience of creating different types of content, including social media and other online content, is a must
- Good presentation skills and be able to explain complex issues to others
Commercial acumen within the life science industry
- A solid understanding of the global life science industry and be able to spot opportunities and potential clients interested in our work. Knowledge and experience of the medtech industry is advantageous
- Experience of marketing and BD specifically relating to the Real World Evidence, HEOR and market access needs of the life sciences industry would be highly desirable
Leadership and Teamwork
- You should enjoy working as part of a growing, agile dynamic team. You should be comfortable leading on day-to-day cross-functional project activities
Business development
- You should have a record of success in business development in the life sciences and/or healthcare sector, with some experience proposal writing and pitch presentations
Initiative and Creativity
- You are expected to demonstrate initiative in every aspect of your work and be creative in developing original solutions to problems
IT Skills
- You are expected to have excellent Microsoft Office skills and be highly competent in the use of Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Being able to create high quality PowerPoint decks is essential
Organisational Skills
- You will be expected to manage your work and coordinate the work of multi-disciplinary teams with ease, the role will require regular multi-tasking across different projects as well as the need to keep key internal stakeholders up to date on milestone progress
