This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic podiatrist to develop and implement education packages for student podiatrists, graduate podiatrists, apprentices and much more.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our inspirational podiatry team to support student placements from higher educational institutes, school age placement and apprentice 'grow our own' model. The successful candidate will be a role model for Podiatry in North Cumbria.

The podiatry Department delivers care to the population of North Cumbria. The Department has a diverse skill mix including advanced and specialist Podiatrists, Podiatry assistants and administrative staff. Maintaining high risk, biomechanics and nail surgery caseloads. While providing episodes of care for specific conditions. Opportunities to develop skills and knowledge in specialist areas are available by our close links with the Multi-disciplinary diabetic foot team and North Cumbria MSK service. Additionally, the department is involved in enhancing care through digital applications and research and service improvement in line with national guidelines.

  • Will act as a clinical role model, working collaboratively to develop and deliver an ongoing programme of training and education for podiatry students and apprentices.
  • Will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive orientation and induction programme for new recruits within the podiatry department.
  • Will contribute to the development of departmental policies, guidelines and scope of practice.
  • Will undertake audits and reviews of practice and policies within the Podiatry Department.

The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as followsif applicable to the post:

Standard Check: £18 + Administration cost of £3.85 = £21.85. Deducted at £6.85 from 1st month salary and £5 deducted from salary over following 3 months.

Enhanced Check: £38 + administration cost of £3.90 = £41.90. Deducted at £11.90 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
