Job description
The Health Care Support Worker will actively participate as a member of the ward team and will be responsible for contributing towards the smooth and efficient running of the ward.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring beds and bed areas are clean and to keep the ward clean and tidy. The post holder will assist with maintaining ward stocks, keeping storerooms organised and tidy, keep clinical equipment clean and undertake other duties, including some aspects of clinical care as delegated by qualified staff.
We want a bright keen motivated band 2 Health care support worker to join our team in delivering essential and specialist cardiothoracic nursing care to our patients. We are a 24 bedded ward which facilitates the cardiothoracic surgery service.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and will work well within a team. The ability to cope in an acute setting is desirable, although support will be given. We are searching for nurses who share our values that:
