We are seeking a new Band 2 Healthcare assistant to support our Evening and Night service in South Nottinghamshire. Are you able to support our nursing staff deliver care to our patients during out of hours, then look no further.

Our integrated team of Nursing and Allied Health Professionals deliver care to people who present with significant physical health care needs in the patient’s normal place of residence, enabling them to be independent, self-caring and live their optimum lives, reducing hospital admissions.

This service covers all of Rushcliffe, Nottingham West and Nottingham North and East and staff are expected to work flexibly across all areas as needed.

We are always looking for great Health Care Assistants to join our Evening and Night Community Team who are on the road delivering care into people’s homes during out of hours 8pm to 8am. The Service covers 7 days a week including Bank Holidays.
Travel mileage costs are repaid for all mileage on Trust business and is paid at above the government standard rate.
Personal and work commitments is sometimes difficult to manage, and we will support people to achieve the right work – life balance through flexible working in a variety of full and part time roles which aim to maintain the health and wellbeing of our workforce.
The role requires night-to-night delivery of patient care for patients registered with our Integrated Community Teams led by District Nurses, …. together you all make a difference.
You will work within the South Nottinghamshire Evening and Night Team, under the direction of a registered professional, with patients who require support to carry out activities of daily living in order to maintain them within their own home environment.

- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to be adaptable, reliable, resourceful and approachable, evidencing high levels of personal and clinical credibility, being able to instantly establish effective working relationships in a range of work settings.
- Support our patients within a community setting that enables them to live their optimum life, being self-caring and independent with their health needs to avoid and reduce hospital admissions.
- Demonstrate high levels of care and compassion to assess and deliver care to patients who present with significant physical health care needs within the places they call home.
- Enjoy working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework, analyse and develop treatment plans whilst providing compassionate, realistic and timely support to a diverse patient group and their families
