Job description

You'll work under the guidance of a healthcare professional such as a nurse and your job will vary depending on where you're based. For example, in a hospital you may:

• Undertake routine tasks related to individual’s health and wellbeing.
• Assist in the delivery of care to meet individuals’ health and wellbeing needs.
• Establish and maintain communication with people on routine care matters
• Contribute to own personal development including competency to undertake the role of HCA.
• Assist in maintaining own and others’ health and safety and security.
• Assist in maintaining and developing services.
• Ensure own actions help to maintain quality.
• Ensure own actions support equality, diversity and right.
• Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.
• Record patient equality and diversity in line with HS guidelines

• Dressing change
• Plaster Paris
• Urine Testing

To be a healthcare assistant, you'll need to be

• caring and kind

You'll also need

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week

Salary: £20.00-£29.00 per hour

• Hospital: 1 year (required)
