An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Band 2 Health Care Assistants for the Respiratory Ward C6 at the Royal Blackburn Hospital Teaching Hospital.
We are looking to appoint enthusiastic, flexible and hardworking individuals with good organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and colleagues. Experience in a care setting is preferable but not essential as full training and support will be provided by the Respiratory Practice Educator in conjunction with the experienced ward teams
- Hygiene needs including bed baths, general baths, oral hygiene and facial shaves
- Nutritional needs and completion of menu’s
- The patient achieving physical comfort and pressure relief by change of position and the use of comfort aids.
- Accessing and using toilet facilities including bedpans and commodes.
- Maintaining and improving mobility.
- Rehabilitation needs
- Dealing with dying patients
