Health Care Assistant – Outpatients
Woodthorpe Hospital, Nottingham
We are looking for caring, dedicated and motivated Health Care Assistants to join the Outpatients team at Woodthorpe Hospital in Nottingham. You will be assisting in the delivery of care to a variety of specialities including orthopaedics, urology, general surgery, bariatrics and gynaecology to name a few.
You will need to have a flexible approach to your working hours to enable us to deliver high quality round-the-clock patient care. You will be part of a team providing the very best in patient-focused healthcare services.
You must have a caring approach, be a good communicator and be capable of delivering high standards of patient care. You will assist with essential hygiene and nutrition needs of patients and offer support and comfort. You will be trained to undertake additional clinical skills to support the nursing team such as performing clinical observations, catheter care and simple wound care. You will be responsible for assisting the Staff Nurse in the care of patients pre and post-operatively.
Qualifications and Experience
NVQ in Healthcare or working towards- Experience of caring for others
- The ability to receive and communicate information accurately and take instruction from professional colleagues

The Woodthorpe Hospital is a 42 bedded private hospital on 2 wards offering multi-speciality surgery for day cases and inpatients stay for both private and NHS patients. It is a very busy Hospital with patients seen by many different speciality consultants including Orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, urology, gastroenterology, dermatology and ENT.
