Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Service Users with daily living tasks, ensuring their comfort and dignity is maintained
- Provide support to Service Users facing mobility or learning difficulties
- Monitor Service Users closely, especially those with behavioural problems
- Promote continence and assist in end-of-life care when necessary
- Participate in social activities, interacting with Service Users and helping them with their hobbies
- Answer Nurse Call system and provide assistance as needed
- Make Service Users feel welcome and cared for, providing refreshments and assistance as required
- Maintain a clean and tidy Care Centre to ensure the comfort and wellbeing of Service Users
- Ensure Service Users' personal and financial affairs are handled with the utmost integrity and avoid abuse of the privileged relationship
- Report any changes in Service Users' physical or emotional condition to the Home Manager or Person in Charge
Skills and Qualifications:
- Genuine interest in working with the relevant Service User group
- Effective communication skills at all levels
- Ability to work well in a team
- Satisfactory Policy Check and check against the PoVA list
- Ability to work independently and on own initiative
- Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programme
- Previous experience of working with the relevant Service User group desired
- NVQ Level 2 in Care preferred
