Acquire Recruitment’s multi award winning client based in Gloucester is currently seeking a Health and Safety Tutor/Consultant to start ASAP!
The main responsibilities for the role will be to deliver high quality accredited and non-accredited training courses in the classroom, or via Zoom as required, consulting customers with specialist advice whilst actively promoting other training and courses, and deliver all our training and services in line with our quality and standards, brand, ethos and core values.
Duties Include: -
· To deliver accredited and non-accredited training courses to our customers as required by the Training team. This may be via Zoom or in the classroom.
· To deliver all training courses using an accurate and up-to-date lesson plan, a copy of which should be held by the business.
· To work to an existing course/programme, plan, notes and handout material including, where appropriate case studies and exercises or to devise a new approach.
· To liaise with the Training and Support Departments regarding dates and availability.
· To self-evaluate after each course and to suggest changes to develop and improve courses, as appropriate.
· To carry out audits and inspections as required by the Safeguard team.
· Consulting customers with specialist advise whilst actively promoting other training and services.
· Create safe systems of work, method statements and permits to work for customers, when required.
· Review T100 risk assessments, update and improve if required.
· Learn to use T100 Health and Safety compliance software and help promote the software to customers.
· Complete a Health and Safety checklist at the beginning of each course.
· To ensure course content and materials are accurate and up to date with all current Legislation.
· To design course presentations when required to supplement our existing presentations in order to customise a course to the customer’s requirements.
· To ensure evaluation forms and candidate information forms are given out and completed by the candidates at the end of each course.
· To complete a course feedback form at the end of each course.
· To ensure accurate completion of the course paperwork, especially paperwork completed by candidates.
· To attend Associate Trainers Meetings and Standardisation Meetings.
· To attend yearly 1 to 1 meetings to discuss performance and contracts.
· To keep an accurate record of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and submit to the business at the end of each calendar year.
In addition to this, you will be expected to: -
· Adhere and comply with the provisions of the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
· To ensure that the Company/ Awarding Body examination procedure is followed at all times.
· To encourage and support candidates throughout the training course.
· To support the marketing of the business as appropriate by promoting other courses, consumables and consultancy services to the candidates.
· To ensure the safe and prompt return of the course paperwork including candidate examinations and leftover stock to the main company office.
· Complete audit and inspection reports accurately and promptly.
· To be responsible for the collection of course materials for the courses contracted to you to deliver.
· To deliver all our services to customers and candidates to the required high standard
· To behave in line with our brand, ethos and core values at all times when representing the business.
· To ensure that courses, group exercises, course materials and presentations reflect our commitment to equality and diversity and match the customer business culture and objectives.
Skills and / or Qualifications: -
· Level 4 in Health and Safety
· Level 4 in Food Safety
· NEBOSH (Desirable) IOSH (May consider)
· Either PTLLS or equivalent/higher teaching qualifications
· A long working history in Education/Learning & Development
· MUST drive and have access to your own vehicle
· First Aid Trained (Not essential)
Other Information: -
· Salary: - £35,000
· Permanent contract
· Working hours are 9am – 5pm (may vary depending on needs of the business)
· 5 weeks holiday allowance + 8 bank holidays and 2 week shutdown at Christmas
