Next Generation have been appointed to lead the recruitment for a Health & Safety Officer to work with a leading global manufacturer. As the Health & Safety Officer you will be responsible for reporting to the H&S Manager, managing ISO14001 & ISO45001 standards promoting a positive HSE culture.

What’s on offer for the Health & Safety Officer?

· Competitive salary up to £36,000 p.a. (DOE)

Working hours of the Health & Safety Officer:

· Monday – Thursday (7.00am – 16.00pm)

· Fridays (7am – 12 noon)

Duties of the Health & Safety Officer:

  • Providing advice and support to teams to meet requirements of legislation, ISO standards and company processes & procedures
  • Supporting implementation of HSE Policies to drive improvements and gain / maintain certification
  • Promoting a proactive approach to HSE management including regular floor walks & contact with supervisors & managers to ensure issues are clearly understood and effectively managed.
  • Investigation of site issues, accidents, incidents including production of accident & incident reports and root cause analysis
  • Liaising with third party auditors.
  • Facilitating the delivery of corrective and preventive actions for significant issues in conjunction with the relevant teams / managers
  • Internal Auditing / Supplier auditing with reporting and follow up of findings

The successful candidate for the Health & Safety Officers position will have the following qualifications/experience:

  • 3 – 5 year’s working within H&S within a manufacturing facility (Essential)
  • IOSH Working Safely (Essential)
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (Essential)
  • NEBOSH Diploma (desirable)
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience working within a manufacturing/production environment (Essential)
  • Absolute understanding of ISO14001 & 45001 QMS (Essential)
