Full time Head Teachers for Pre-Toddler Room - 13 months - 20 months Toddler Room- 22 months - 30 months Pre- PreK Room- 30 months and older. What will you help us with? Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children. Observes all rules and regulations at World of Wonder and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children. Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis. Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule. Plans with a member of the Leadership Team the parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations. Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence. Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior. Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds. Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions. Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the World Of Wonder Childcare Center. What do we require? Willing to obtain CPR & First Aid within the first 30 days. CDA, AA, and BA a must must be available to work 40 weekly hours Agree to 9:30 am – 6:30 pm schedule for the first year of employment Center Details: Open Monday - Friday 7 am - 6:30 pm Closed nights, weekends and 14 major holidays What is our interview process? If requested submit homework If requested, submit 2 references and schedule a working interview. Working interview takes place Monday-Friday and lasts 3 hours. Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Development and Implementation: Design and execute age-appropriate curricula that align with the child care center's philosophy and educational objectives. Develop lesson plans and learning activities that promote children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Integrate creativity, play, and exploration into the curriculum to engage children's natural curiosity. Classroom Management: Create a safe, inclusive, and well-organized classroom environment conducive to learning and positive interactions. Establish and enforce classroom rules and routines that promote discipline and respect while fostering children's independence. Child Assessment and Progress Tracking: Observe and assess children's development, behavior, and learning styles to tailor instruction to their individual needs. Maintain accurate records of children's progress, achievements, and areas for improvement, and communicate this information to parents or guardians. Parent Communication: Foster open and effective communication with parents or guardians, providing regular updates on their child's experiences, accomplishments, and areas of growth. Conduct parent-teacher conferences and meetings to discuss children's progress and address any concerns. Staff Collaboration: Work collaboratively with assistant teachers, aides, and support staff to ensure a cohesive and productive team environment. Provide guidance and mentorship to support staff, fostering their professional growth and development. Classroom Environment Enhancement: Design and organize the physical classroom environment to promote learning, exploration, and safety. Utilize age-appropriate materials, equipment, and resources to stimulate children's senses and encourage active participation. Health and Safety Oversight: Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all children in the classroom. Respond effectively to medical emergencies or situations requiring first aid. Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in early childhood education, attending workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills. Seek opportunities to enhance teaching methods and incorporate innovative practices into the classroom. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, Child Development, or a related field (required). State teaching certification or licensure in early childhood education (if applicable). Previous experience as a lead or head teacher in a childcare or educational setting. Thorough understanding of child development theories, instructional methodologies, and curriculum planning. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and fellow staff members. First aid and CPR certification (preferred).
