We're looking for a bookkeeper with at least 2 years experience in the construction industry, within the last 5 years. The successful candidate will be proficient in using Xero as well as Outlook and Google platforms including Drive and Sheets. This candidate will be the sole internal bookkeeper.
Hours and working pattern are flexible, we would require 2-3 working days per week between Mon-Fri
The role requires the following but is not limited to:
Knowledge of cash accounting as opposed to accruals based accounting
Management of payroll journals and reconciliation
Management of accounts payable & accounts receivable
Reconciling invoices & payments with Xero
Confidence in chasing aged receivables and managing aged payables
Liaising with the company's third party accountants for the preparation of quarterly VAT returns and end of year accounts on a cash basis
Confidence dealing with the domestic reverse charge regarding both sales and purchase invoices
Updating/managing monthly cashflow sheets
Liaising with the Director regarding updates on the cashflow and the predicted cash position
Completing PQQ forms for new client set up
Producing and sending CIS certificates
Liaising with accountant and office team to ensure deadlines are met
Job Type: Part-time
