Job description

Hey

We’re on a quest to add a Head of Social Media to our team. We’re a small but mighty team & are looking for someone to take our social media content to the next level by building out our social media department. We’re looking for someone that is super creative & also is highly organised & brings plenty of experience when it comes to building & leading a social media department.

At Disobey, we continually evaluate our work, improve our methods & keep our fingers on the pulse of the ever-evolving marketing world - all while breaking the rules. We, therefore, are looking for someone reliable, analytical & full of personality with the ability to emphasise with others. We work with a variety of different brands on their social media content, so there are lots of different aspects to orchestrate.

The role requires you to be a self-starter, coordinate & manage campaigns, content, strategy, clients & your team while developing unique, innovative angles for Disobey & our clients. We are excited to work with someone with a strategic mind who continually analyses & tweaks our campaigns & content with our client goals in mind. Paying close attention to social trends & the gaming industry as a whole is a must, with a solid understanding of different content platforms.

We are looking for someone with strong values just like we have to ensure our content is accessible, relatable, data-driven & always meeting our client goals! It’s a must that you have managed a team, understand how to grow a social team & are up for joining us on our mission to shake this space up!

Responsibilities:

  • Build out & lead our social media department.
  • Improve upon our existing social media & content processes across all aspects to make our workflow even more efficient, analytical & easier to scale up.
  • Manage our social media team (including community managers & social media content creators), supporting their individual development & recruiting great talent as we grow.
  • Workload distribution to the wider social media team.
  • Conduct weekly content reviews & analyses with the team.
  • Lead overall strategic creative briefs & strategies for all our social media campaigns & evergreen content while ensuring they fit the client's KPIs.
  • Approve strategies, content & reporting before sending them to the client.
  • Coordinating end-to-end social media management, including liaising with clients via email, Google Meet & sometimes face-to-face meetings.
  • Help drive delivery, optimizations & troubleshooting across social media campaigns & content.
  • Support sales pitches for prospects with early-stage social campaign/content strategies.
  • Stay on top of industry trends, social media campaigns & social media news/updates.
  • Continuously improve on all existing internal social media resources that we share with our team & clients.
  • Develop & implement further analytical methods for even deeper reporting to clients.
  • Attending industry events where necessary to network with clients (Gamescom, PAX, EGX etc.).

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is full of personality, wit & empathy, which translates into your work.
  • Has strong management skills with 2-5 years of experience leading a team & working on social media content & campaigns across all major platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitch & YouTube).
  • Is a problem solver that keeps their team motivated & is always up for solving new unknown situations.
  • Is a team player; you might be leading the team, but you aren’t shy to get stuck in & jump in to help your team. We’re a small team & everyone's input matters equally.
  • Has a strong understanding of what content works on social media & can apply this to different clients. You understand where the pain points lie & can identify where Disobey can bring value outside of the norm.
  • Gives a sh*t!! We have strong values & it’s important to us that our campaigns & content always meet our high standards when it comes to execution, who we work with & how we produce our work.
  • Understands how to make people feel valued & knows how to engage with audiences in the right way.
  • Has strong experience working with & guiding clients, creating social media strategies from scratch, & leading a social media team.
  • Is a strong communicator & has great attention to detail.
  • Is an all-around social media expert who is strategic, & gets excited about growth & the content creation space!
  • Has a deep understanding of the gaming industry & has knowledge of a variety of different games/genres.
  • Is always driven to learn more, & better your work output.
