This newly created role will take ownership for uplifting our sales insights and client intelligence offering. You will advise, coach and guide our leaders on best practice based on market intelligence, first hand interviews with our clients, and insights gained from our practitioners. You will be responsible for leading our Independent Bid Debrief programme across Europe. This important role speaks with and listens to our clients after major bids to understand what we do well and how we can improve. This information is then fed back into the business to ensure we continue to improve how we do things. Increasing both win rate and value for our clients.

In addition, you will own, develop and nurture all competitive intelligence. Creating an up-to-date, insightful and impactful source of knowledge that can be fed into our pursuits and shared with our colleagues.

As this is a new role, there is plenty of scope for the successful applicant to shape both how we collect data and how we share the insights. Information is meaningless if nobody knows where to find it. So defining how, when and who its shared, and continuing to champion its use, is of the utmost importance.

Over time, dependant on the success of the programme and the impact it delivers, there may be scope for the successful applicant to grow a team to support them across the region.

At the heart of the role is the requirement to be client focused. You will be reporting back into the business the voice of the client, and so being able to see things from a client’s perspective is important. We are seeking somebody with an inquisitive nature. You will need to be able to enter conversations with an open, probing mind. Mining insights from all angles – even where you may not have expected to find them.

The ability to manage stakeholders, both internal and external, is critical. You will be required to deliver feedback, coaching and advice to senior leadership and day to day practitioners alike. Delivering important messages with confidence and clarity is key to making a lasting impact.

A motivated, self-starting, proactive mindset is important. The impact this role brings will depend on the successful applicant continually striving to promote and enhance the programme, with the full support of Sales Excellence and Consulting leadership.

We are also seeking someone who is creative and open-minded, bringing a unique perspective to our business with an eye towards continuous learning and improvement. Being proactive in your thinking and approach is critical to helping us grow in the marketplace.

A foundation of proven experience working in a related client insights or competitive intelligence role within a Big Four firm or top tier professional services organization is important to quickly find your feet in this new role and hit the ground running.

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints.
