We are currently recruiting for a Head of Recruitment to drive and lead the end-to-end recruitment activity across British Airways. Focus will be on setting the strategic direction and driving transformation to create a centre of excellence to recruit top talent across all areas of the business. This senior leadership role in the organisation provides the rewarding opportunity to pioneer change at British Airways, driving a colleague centric approach to attracting and onboarding our new colleagues into all roles.
We are seeking a courageous and highly collaborative leader with experience working at senior levels within a sophisticated matrix organisation. Driving operational delivery and effectiveness balanced with continuous improvement and a transformation agenda focused on improving the moments that matter to our colleagues, with a team of c.100 colleagues and budget responsibility of c.£10-15m.
We pride ourselves on our service at British Airways, and the Head of Recruitment will play a vital role in defining our recruitment strategy to ensure it is delivered at the highest levels by offering innovative resourcing solutions that will create a positive colleague experience, and owning the resourcing transformation with a focus on technology and process improvements, all whilst utilising experience of implementing significant change programmes.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Director of Colleague Services and wider People Leadership team to develop and deliver BA's recruitment strategy, including improving the candidate experience at the very start of their journey with British Airways.
Duties will include –
- Setting the strategic direction for recruitment across BA to create a centre of excellence.
- Effectively managing a number of suppliers to deliver to requirements and standards in line with the Recruitment department.
- Effective leadership of the function to transform its operational effectiveness, creating an industry leading resourcing team balancing delivery, innovation, service and critical cost management.
- Deliver a hiring approach that aligns to the British Airways Diversity and Inclusion goals.
- Ensure that resourcing activities are fully compliant with legislative, regulatory and British Airways requirements.
