Salary: £100,000 - £150,000

You'll be joining the Kaluza Technology community. We're a large team of both data-led and product focused Software and Production Engineers, pushing the boundaries of technology and working at an extraordinary scale. As Head of Quality you will be working across all of our technology landscape which includes Energy Retail and Flex
Kaluza's Energy Retail platform: This is a SaaS technology platform that aims to revolutionise the operating platforms for energy retailers globally. This platform has been built with scale and technical quality in mind and is the foundation for decarbonisation efforts by Kaluza's customers.
Kaluza's Flex platform: Designed to be the nervous system connecting energy retailers, grid operators, and consumers, Flex will aid us in creating the distributed, consumer-centric, dynamic energy system of the future. Bridging the gap between distributed renewable generation and smart devices, it helps consumers shift their energy consumption to times when there's more renewable energy. This not only saves them money, but enables society as a whole to meet the challenge of decarbonising transport and residential heating/cooling. We're also supporting this vital shift by building the innovative technology behind unique, market-leading customer propositions like Vehicle to Grid and Drive Anytime Energy Plan with our energy retailer partners.
What will I be doing?
As a senior leader in the Technology department you will be responsible for collaborating across all levels to ensure we build robust, enterprise class software. You will be equally happy working with colleagues or clients to design and deliver our next generation products to help the world move to a carbon neutral future.
As Head of Quality you will be passionate about ensuring our systems are robust, scalable and work in our clients complex existing estates.
You will manage a team which is responsible for quality across the platforms. Our teams are responsible for the quality of their output but the head of quality ensures it is compliant and fit for purpose at scale and end to end
Your team will manage (but not be limited to):
- End to end testing and quality
- Ensuring requirements are testable
- Helping to design systems and the quality to ensure our integration always remain stable
- Chaos testing
- Audit testing
- Defect resolution test automation
- Test pyramid strategies
You will be excited by the thought of helping >400 Kaluza team members deliver the best software and solutions possible
Is this the job for me?
Ideally you'll have/be:
- Happy to make decisions and bring others with you
- Use data to make decisions
- Have a track record in delivery at scale
- Be client facing when needed
- Be confident to speak to our large community of >300 software professionals and 400 Kaluza team members
- Have views around design and delivery methodologies
- Run RCA and overall quality programmes
- Experience of working on the cloud at scale
- Worked in an environment where the systems are critical and can have very limited downtime
