THE OPPORTUNITY

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Head of Projects to apply their skills to the delivery of turnkey infrastructure construction projects. The role will report into the Director of Delivery and work closely with the Director of Technical Sales and Director of Asset Management. In our rapidly growing company, we are looking for adaptable, highly motivated, and talented leader who will play an instrumental role in the businesses continued growth. The role will be integral to establishing a high performing team, integrating suppliers and leading EV and 2nd life Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) infrastructure.

A TASTE OF THE DAY TO DAY

  • Work directly with the Director of Delivery to continue to grow a high performing team
  • Commercial accountability for the portfolio of EV delivery (UK & Ireland)
  • Undertake line management responsibility for a team of Project delivery team across England, Scotland & Ireland
  • Provide departmental leadership and regional escalation across the portfolios
  • Implement project management principles and business processes providing end-to-end project assurance.
  • Lead on project development and work closely with the Business Development and Technical Sales colleagues on new business and markets.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Review all project documents and information provided by a client/sub-contractor throughout the design process
  • Ensure appropriate availability and allocation of resources as well as prepare regional monthly and board reporting.
  • Asses tender submissions and with a view of finding additional value where possible
  • Identify opportunities to improve best practices within the organisation
  • Recruit and mentor a strong team of project professionals


A BIT ABOUT YOU


  • 15+ years’ experience of delivering electrical infrastructure projects
  • Previous experience leading teams in a leadership position
  • Strong demonstratable commercial and contract experience across client and contractor organisations
  • Strong demonstratable experience administering construction contracts (NEC, JCT)
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring colleagues
  • Senior stakeholder and board level reporting experience
  • A desire to work in the renewable energy and green energy sector
  • Experience working with electric vehicle charge points and delivering high & low voltage networks
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel & Project)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Pragmatic, proactive and solution driven
  • Ability to work in a fast pace and dynamic environment
  • Strong knowledge of H&S and Environmental regulations for design and construction, Quality standards and industry best practice
  • Ability to be flexible with working locations which will be a combination of working from home, the office and your project location.
