Are You Up To The Challenge?
As the Head of PCC Marketing, you'll lead a team of 10+ across Product Marketing, Community & Social Media (CSM), Creative and Influencer & Media (I&M) as you launch a portfolio of more than 10 premium Indie tiles across multiple platforms.
You’ll also work in close collaboration with our digital marketing team encompassing UA and Growth for paid social and paid digital campaigns.
Your KPIs will focus on building brand awareness, advocacy, Wish Lists, community and ultimately (most importantly) game sales.
Reporting into the VP of Marketing with a dotted line to the Head of PC & Console, you’ll be hugely influential in creating, executing, tracking and optimising integrated campaigns across both paid media (paid social, influencers and events) and organic media (community, social, influencers, ambassadors, SEO and rich content).
What Does The Job Actually Involve?
Ability to juggle multiple campaigns and projects across numerous media channels and multiple games at the same time and communicate clearly with multiple stakeholders both within and external to your team to ensure challenging objectives and Wishlist/ sales KPIs are met. Your job is to ensure we deliver hit game launches and beat even the most aspirational Wish List and sales targets
Being fully accountable for overseeing all PCC launch marketing budgets, KPIs and game launch schedules and reporting these regularly to the vertical and marketing leads as well as the wider business.
Acting as the main liaison between PCC Marketing and the Scouting and Production teams as well as our partner developers.
Managing internal structure, individual performance development and skills development within the PCC Marketing team
Setting ‘challenging but achievable’ targets for your team for both quality of output, timely delivery of campaigns and above target results and taking responsibility for meeting these targets
Play our games and research competitor products to understand how other successful PC & Console games work and what makes them successful.
Brief and analyse marketing research and use findings to augment your strategic plans
Your Hard Skills
3+ years as a senior leader of a PCC marketing team, preferably with a notable Indie publisher. You’ll be channel agnostic, game industry fluent, an engaging motivator and use data constantly to make good decisions quickly
Highly numerate and data fluent you’ll oversee your team’s game launch budgets and be ultimately accountable for adhering to them
Experience setting both high-level and personal goals for an expansive, multi-discipline team and evidence of achieving these goals through tight KPI tracking
Natural communication skills. You’re a proven leader with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse range of marketers from graduate level up to senior managers
A passion for PC Console gaming and integrated marketing is essential - you know how to build hype and noise around new game titles in a beat cycle and likely have strong relationships with the media and influencers in the space
Significant experience and knowledge of the Steam and Epic ecosystems
You'll interpret data and translate it into creative, cohesive integrated product marketing campaign strategies and tactical plans seamlessly whilst using a ‘test and learn’ approach to optimising campaign performance
You’ll have a track record of mentoring and augmenting teams under your jurisdiction to create and hone a high performance culture in the PC Console marketing team
Your Soft Skills
Kwalee has grown fast in recent years but we’re very much a family of colleagues. We welcome people of all genders, races and backgrounds - and all we ask is that you collaborate, work hard, ask questions and have fun with your team and colleagues. We don’t like egos or arrogance and we love playing games and celebrating success together. If that sounds like you, then please apply.
Your Team Mates
The PC Console Marketing team is mostly based in Leamington Spa HQ and in Bangalore, India. An open, enthusiastic and engaging personality and communication style is essential. You’re incredibly organised, data astute and fluent in process management so tracking numerous campaigns in several languages across multiple media will be second nature for you.
