Applications are now being sought for the post of Head of Operations for the East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership.
East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership are looking to appoint a Head of Operations, to lead an integrated service model in the delivery of high quality, person-centred care within East Lothian. We are looking for an experienced leader with a proven track record in the delivery of transformational change within the arena of Health and Social Care with an excellent understanding of how the integration agenda can bring about real change to the people of East Lothian. You will be highly motivated and bring commitment, enthusiasm and an in-depth knowledge of whole-system approaches to service improvement, service management and service transformation. The successful candidate will have senior management experience of working within a complex environment and a firm commitment to improving outcomes for people.
The post holder will be based initially at John Muir House, Haddington and we would welcome applications from experienced and enthusiastic health or social care leaders.
The priorities for the successful post holder will be to:
- The Head of Operations will be accountable to the Chief Officer and will lead, manage and control the operational delivery of services across East Lothian services and any hosted services, ensuring the safe delivery of care and services, in accordance with the Integration Joint Board’s corporate objectives, the Partnership’s delivery plans and in the context of the Scottish Government’s quality, financial and other performance and governance targets.
- The Head of Operations will lead the teams through service change and redesign to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of 24/7 services, underpinned by the Partnership’s values and a culture of person-centred care.
- The Head of Operations will ensure governance responsibilities are discharged effectively and that there are arrangements in place for scrutiny and assurance at each level.
- The post holder will be responsible for the ongoing improvement of patient flow for unscheduled care through the hospital, working closely with the hospital directors to ensure opportunities are maximised to integrate services.
- As a member of the Senior Management Team for the Health and Social Care Partnership, the post holder will contribute to and participate in the setting of the strategic direction for services in NHS Lothian and the East Lothian Council, working closely with colleagues in strategic planning, other partnerships, acute services and Integration Joint Board members.
