We are currently recruiting for a Head of Media Relations to join our senior leadership team within our Corporate Affairs Directorate. Leading the business’s global media relations team dealing with issues management and crisis communications, you will be responsible for setting the team’s direction and strategic priorities to protect and promote the company’s reputation.

The successful candidate requires strong crisis management and media relations skills, experience working for a high-profile brand or organisation and dealing with top tier news outlets and journalists on a range of issues.

Key accountabilities:

  • Developing and leading an industry-leading, world class media relations and on-call team, ensuring the team is set up to fiercely guard BA's reputation
  • Robustly challenging the media and developing narratives and key messaging
  • Leading on delivering the airline's corporate narrative, business and sustainability strategy
  • Leading crisis communications, ensuring the customer is always front of mind
