The Faculty of Science is currently looking to recruit a dynamic, creative, and strategic individual with a strong track record of delivering innovative and successful marketing and communications campaigns and initiatives, to lead our Faculty marketing and digital content team.

Our marketing and communication is vital to our success. Whether it’s building the University’s profile, developing our brand, promoting our research, or helping to attract the best students, it plays a key role in supporting our growth and future development.

You will lead student recruitment marketing, internal and external communications and website content and optimisation for five academic departments within the Faculty of Science, with a particular focus on international and postgraduate student recruitment.

Reporting to the Director of Administration for the Faculty of Science, you will develop marketing and student recruitment strategies and lead the team in delivering marketing and communications plans, content creation for print and digital channels, on and offline events and the web content. You will ensure that all outputs support the University and Faculty strategic priorities and objectives, and measure and assess the impact of your approach on student recruitment.

This role offers a unique opportunity to both shape and Faculty marketing and communications strategy and collaborate with wider University staff, including marketing, communications and student recruitment colleagues in central and faculty teams.

Experience in leading and motivating a team and knowledge of digital marketing channels, UK and international student recruitment audiences and behaviour, and delivering impactful campaigns is essential. You will have sound knowledge of the key issues influencing the Higher Education environment. Budget management, working with external suppliers, and ensuring value for money are also key to the role.

You will possess a good first degree, significant marketing experience in a similar role and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills are important as you will be working on multiple projects.
