The Role
The role is accountable for leading on the management and delivery of IT services. The key focus of the role is to develop and deliver the Technology and infrastructure services strategy and ensure the IT infrastructure is exceptionally robust to meet future growth plans of the business.
The Head of IT is accountable for developing and implementing an IT strategy to deliver a high-quality of service to clients and internal users in line with budgetary and service delivery expectations.
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following:
- Provide expert knowledge, experience and an innovative approach to support and develop the IT systems and network.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of Cyber Security, including both technology, security and via user training.
- Provide transparency of the total IT investment and enable key decision makers to prioritise demand based on strategic objectives, risks, dependencies, and potential constraints in the supply of Group IT services.
- Ensure there are processes in place to capture, distribute and effectively use IT knowledge across the group, driving continuous learning and improvement.
- Lead the IT team to develop and implement innovative solutions.
- Monitor and analyse system performance.
REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive knowledge of enterprise Infrastructure and cloud (Azure) systems and hosting solutions
- Experience of line management and developing an IT team
- Knowledge of security and compliance policies
- EU GDPR – service credentials and internal governance
- Experience of managing and building relationships with senior stakeholders
- Knowledge of database tools and application
- A detailed understanding of Microsoft 365 and the ability to make sure that applications are set up and managed in the most effective way for the organisation
- A good working knowledge of cloud, ITIL systems, VOIP, Intune and Azure
- Networking including Wi-Fi, firewall
