We are seeking to appoint a Head of International Experience to join the University of Worcester as we work towards achieving our international ambitions over the next few years.

International students have recently grown to make up almost 20% of the student body and you will be in charge of an experienced team providing tailored support to this group. You will need to understand this diverse community, what makes it different and what support the students need in order to flourish in a UK HE environment. You will do this working with colleagues in academic and professional departments and using and developing university systems to make processes more efficient and effective.

You will be a people person with high-level diplomatic skills and an ability to bring people with you as you get things done, whether dealing with a student, a colleague or a visiting partner.

The University of Worcester has significantly grown its international student numbers in recent years. This has been achieved by building on its areas of expertise and ensuring that the student experience is always the primary concern. The international team are a group of like-minded enthusiastic individuals who work together to provide the best possible experience for applicants from enquiry through to graduation.

What's in it for you?

  • Annual incremental increase up to £54,395, with the opportunity to progress to £59,422
  • 42 days of leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays and University closure days)
  • Attractive Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Access to a range of benefits such as our Staff Retail Benefits Scheme, Cycle to Work Scheme and Tusker Car Leasing
  • Wellbeing advice and support through our Employee Assistance Programme
  • In-house training and development support
  • A friendly, inclusive and supportive culture and work environment

If you think you have what it takes to make a positive contribution to the team, we would like to hear from you. Informal queries are welcome, please contact Nick Slade (Director of International): [email protected].
