Your new role
Develop and implement a comprehensive awesome doughnut strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business and brand objectives
- Drive the development of new products and renovation of core from ideation to launch, ensuring a high quality and timely delivery with products that meet consumer needs, regulatory requirements and profitability targets.
- Conduct market research and analyse customer feedback to identify trends, pain points and opportunities for innovation
- Develop and maintain the eighteen month product development roadmap prioritising development based on business objectives and customer needs.
- Ensure that all food products are safe, high quality and comply with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Develop and maintain relationship with key suppliers as an extension of the internal food team working in partnership for development
- Develop and manage budgets, forecast financial performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Define and track key performance indicators to measure product success and drive data drive decision making
- Keep up to date with food industry trends, competitors, regulations and customer preferences and make recommendations for improvement to create customer wow and remain competitive in the market
- Build and maintain a high performing team providing coaching, mentoring, and feedback to develop talent and achieve business objectives
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging the team to experiment and take risks.
Your CV & Skills
- Experience in the food industry, with a proven track record of success in food product development, food safety, quality and profitability.
- Previous experience in a leadership role with strong leadership skills with the ability to build and manage high performing teams motivating and inspiring them to achieve goals and exceed expectations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex product and technical information to a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to make data driven decisions
- Deep knowledge the of the product development process and proven track record of leading businesses and multiple stakeholders against this
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams inspiring with a customer first mindset
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Experience with food safety regulations
- Knowledge of food industry trends including plant based, sugar reduction and clean label
- Strong financial acumen, with experience developing and managing budgets
- Knowledge of food processing equipment and technologies
- A growth mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and technologies.
- Batchelors degree in food service, culinary arts or related field
