As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial activities of Trustly UK Ltd and being a part of the UK management team in place.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee Trustly UK Ltd's financial activities, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Oversee Trustly UK Ltd's outsourced finance activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and relevant regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain financial models and projections to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports for management, investors, and regulatory bodies.
- Manage the payroll function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll for all UK-based employees
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure the financial systems and processes are efficient and effective and identify areas for improvement
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA or other relevant post-graduate qualification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting, or related fields.
- Strong accounting skills, including experience with financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound business decisions.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in the financial services industry, preferably in a fintech or financial institution, is highly desirable.
- Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACCA, or similar are desirable.
