What you will do:
Leading the overall planning and execution of complex solutions across the feature teams to meet our customer needs- Ensuring the feature team deliverables adhere to the solution design and engineering strategy
- Taking the lead on ensuring essential technical documentation is written and reviewed
- Ensuring technical debt is continuously measured and prioritised against the backlog for each iteration
- Supporting the adoption of Test Driven Development techniques across the teams ensuring code quality and coverage
- Working within the established Level 3 support process to ensure we meet and exceed SLA’s, KPIs and profitability targets
- Working to broaden the technical capabilities of individuals within the feature teams by delegating problems of increasing complexity, and pair programming with the developers
- Line managing Feature Team Technical Leads, and Chapter Leads, providing leadership direction, career guidance and coaching
- Liaising with project / programme managers around key project milestones and other delivery accountabilities such as risks, budget

What you will need:
Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders- Experience with effective technical debt management across multiple feature teams
- Experience writing and maintaining large scale, production software in a fast changing environment with rapid release cycles
- Expertise in test driven development, broader testing and QA concerns
- Experience working within Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)/Scrum at Scale (SoS)/Nexus or any other Agile scaling framework in organisations or function areas
- Demonstrate an interest in and awareness of industry and technology trends and a desire to continuously expand on your knowledge
- Expertise in running, coordinating and coaching people through Agile ceremonies and events including backlog refinement, estimation and show & tells
