Job description
The Global Private Credit Financing business provides bilateral lending facilities to asset managers, including BDCs, private credit funds, and private equity funds. These facilities are backed by pools of predominantly first lien, unitranche loans in the ~$1.4tr Private Credit market space. The Global Private Credit Financing business currently has $30bn of committed capital, across 60 facilities and 26 client relationships, with 2,630 assets across 1,550 unique obligors and $47.5bn of collateral. The Global Credit Analyst team - which consists of ~30 analysts across New York, Mumbai, and Buenos Aires - underwrites each underlying asset, completes quarterly reviews, and marks each asset as appropriate.
Job responsibilities
- Manage team of analysts in London, while coordinating with global team in New York, Mumbai, and Buenos Aires
- Work closely with Structuring and Sales partners to determine strategic growth initiatives, and optimize risk and business decisions
- Enhance processes and procedures of the team to drive continuous improvement in our business. This includes working closely with the New York, Mumbai, and Buenos Aires analyst teams, Structuring, Operations, and Legal to drive best-in-market outcomes
- Develop effective communications and executive presentations around portfolio decisions, changes, and status
- Drives new strategic initiatives, including the technology agenda, and facilitate regular ongoing review meetings with Tech, QR, and other internal stakeholders
- Define, gather, and regularly report results on portfolio metrics
- Effectively build relationships and establish collaborative partnerships across the organization, including Product, Technology, Sales, Operations, and other related teams
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Credit Risk within a bank
- Strong credit skills, with rigorous analytical capabilities
- Highly driven, results-oriented team player who operate at a strategic level, but can also roll up his / her sleeves and effectively execute
- Ability to proactively approach new initiatives with drive and energy, and a clear understanding of the big picture; not afraid to push for change; drives to finish everything he / she starts
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and interpersonal skills, including ability to inspire and motivate others
- Team player and capable of building relationships with key business partners
- Ability to work in a matrix organization and learn quickly
- Talent for communication of complex business topics
- General business strategy acumen
- Ability to provide clear and succinct verbal updates to colleagues and senior executives
- Ability to structure executive presentations with minimal input
- Bachelor's degree required
