We are currently recruiting for a Head of Data Governance and Privacy to lead on the implementation of the data governance and data privacy agenda across UK Life. This role could be ideal for you, if you enjoy providing effective leadership and direction whilst ensuring data is managed as a valuable asset. Along with overseeing data subject request information, GDPR and enjoy sharing your knowledge and guidance with large transformations.
A bit about the job:
As the Head of Data Governance and Privacy, you will support stakeholders and appointed representatives in the delivery of the data related operating arrangements and framework requirements, ensuring awareness of data matters, and gaining assurance that data is effectively controlled and governed.
You will ensure accountability is present and clear within UK Life, by delivering transparency of data policies, processes and cultural requirements whilst providing an oversight and driving compliance with the Global Data Governance and Data Privacy Standards. Along with acting as the Data Governance Officer for UK Life, leading data governance implementation as delegated by the Data Accountable Executive.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Detailed understanding of data governance, privacy and management best practice
- Senior level influencing, relationship management and business partnering and collaboration across business units to drive key strategic outcomes
- Ability to manage complexity and volume of demand with a proven track record of successful delivery
- Enjoy proactively identify and implement improvement opportunities
- Good judgement and decision making to consider short and long-term impact
What you’ll get for this role:
- Salary between £90,000 - £110,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
- Generous pension (starting level Aviva contributes 8% when you contribute 2%)
- Eligibility for annual performance bonus of between 0% - 50%
