Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We’re looking for a talented Head of Control Tower to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Gotham site, working for our customer – Saint Gobain Interior Solutions (working hours Monday – Friday 40 hours per week).

What you’ll do on a typical day:
Integrate the Central planning function- Maximise the integrated use of the SGIS Network
- Reduce subcon spend in line with budget
- Increase gain share in excess of the budgeted minimum
- Ensure successful deployment of an optimisation tool
- Work closely with the GM as a second in command
There is an expectation that the following objectives will be reached in year one:
Reduction in Subcontracted cost per load to budget- Increase in Back Haul revenue and gainshare above the minimum budgeted figure
- Cost reduction or replacement of Celotex Sub contraction
- Implementation of optimisation across the whole SGIS Network
- Become second in command to the GM
What you need to succeed at XPO:
Evidence of operational management experience- Be entrepreneurial – must be able to run the network like their own business
- Have excellent planning knowledge – must be able to pull a plan to pieces and spot the inefficiencies
- Have excellent knowledge of planning tools (WTS or Paragon)
- Be able to build and develop a team
- Effectively communicate with all staff & stakeholders
