Consumer Relationships and Consumer Lending play a huge role in delivering our exciting growth strategy. Home to 30,000 colleagues and millions of customers, we need critical communications expertise to engage key audiences on this part of our story.

The person taking on this role will be a lead communications partner to businesses and teams across the consumer businesses. They will set out and guide our communications activity, help to tell compelling stories and provide critical reputational counsel across a diverse and dynamic business which includes Customer Channels, Homes, Transport, PCA and Fraud.

Working together with other GCA Business Partners and Channels teams, including Media Relations, Digital & Social, Internal Communications and Group Public Affairs, the Head of Communications will be a single point of contact into GCA for senior leaders across the business.

This is a role that requires proven expertise in both internal and external communications practice. The Head of Communications will work with external agencies to support the implementation and delivery of campaigns, and alongside expert Group colleagues to engage our audiences in new and creative ways.

As a senior leader in the Consumer communications team, you'll role-model the Group’s values and play a meaningful role in the management and development of the colleagues you work with. You'll have to be proactive and have a strong understanding of retail banking, financial services and the things that matter to our colleagues and customers. This team wants to test new ideas and inspire change.
  • Advance the reputation of Lloyds Banking Group as the bank that helps Britain prosper through innovative, integrated and creative communications plans that evidence effective storytelling and build pride in the Group.
  • Own and deliver an integrated communications strategy which will support Consumer Relationships, Consumer Lending and Mass Affluent.
  • Provide informed, professional and strategic counsel on issues that affect reputation, anticipating complex issues, challenges and opportunities and delivering solutions.
  • Be a great partner to senior leaders, while working with expert channel and business support teams within GCA to deliver outstanding communications activity.
  • Be a fantastic coach and mentor for others in the team and throughout the organisation, investing in own personal development.
What can we offer you in return?
It is a very exciting time to join us! Together we'll continue our market leading, ground breaking transformation and you'll help us realise the Group's vision to be the Best Bank for Customers. Here, you'll grow as a person and develop your career.
As well as a competitive salary, you’ll receive;
  • Discretionary bonus and share plans
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Pension, where we'll give you up to a max of 15%
  • 30 days leave plus bank holidays
  • A flexible cash pot (4% of your base salary) to spend on benefits
