The communications team at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust positively influences the work of the Trust by engaging people in a way they can relate to. We are looking to expand our communications team, including a new post of Head of Communications reporting in to the Associate Director of Communications.
We are looking for a proactive, positive, creative person with leadership skills to help us build on our great reputation as a collaborative team that delivers results.
This senior role will oversee and be responsible for all aspects of the Trust’s communications activity, whilst managing our in-house team. Working with the Associate Director of Communications who reports in to the Chief Executive, you will enable the team to prioritise all aspects of communications initiatives and plans.
This new post will regularly liaise and communicate with senior clinicians and senior management, including regular contact with members of the Board of Directors, and will be a member of the Trust Management Group.
The successful applicant will have a proactive attitude and contribute relevant new ideas to help further develop the communications offer. You will be creative and experienced with campaigns and strategy and have experience of social media management.
With excellent written and verbal English skills, immaculate grammar and an excellent attention to detail, you will also possess the ability to work under pressure and against competing deadlines. This is a vital management role leading a fast paced ambitious team, therefore you will need to have significant proven experience in a senior communications role.
You will need the ability to work collaboratively across the health and care system and wider, developing mutually beneficial relationships with partners, including the media. Strong analytical and project management skills would be an advantage.
