An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly committed, dynamic, and forward-thinking individual with a proven track record of leading clinical education across multiple teams.
The Head of Clinical Education will be the strategic and operational lead for developing and delivering the multi-professional Clinical Education and Learning Strategy for Medical, Nursing, Midwifery and AHP staff, students, and trainees. You will develop and deliver strategic plans to ensure the continuous improvement and quality of all clinical education, training and learning for the current and future clinical workforce across the organisation.
Reporting into the Associate Director of People Capability, this role will hold responsibility for the provision of an effective education and learning programme, in line with the Trust’s People strategy and the Long-Term Workforce Plan. Emphasis will be developing the capability of the clinical workforce, ensuring the focus on attracting, retaining, growing and developing a capable clinical workforce.

You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with clinical statutory and mandatory training requirements and professional regulatory standards.
You will develop collaborative education stakeholder partnerships locally, regionally, and nationally to maximise education funding streams and procure the best education and learning opportunities for the clinical workforce.
The successful candidate will have a breadth of education experience across professional groups and in a senior clinical education, learning and development role within health and/or social care. You will have a strong track record in stakeholder engagement and relationship management; particularly working with Universities, Colleges, and other healthcare organisations, as well as voluntary, private and independent sector organisations. The ideal candidate will have an excellent knowledge of the current NHS England/Health Education England funding, the Medical and Non-medical Education training and development landscape across pre and post registration education: continued professional development (CPD), Apprenticeships, use of technology to enhance learning and the people and culture drivers in the NHS.
You will be highly motivated with the ability to influence at all levels and demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.
