We have an excellent opportunity to grow your career as The Head of Cabin Crew Operations . This role is pivotal in driving on time performance, productivity, customer satisfaction , and efficiency improvements.

Reporting directly to the Director of Cabin Crew, the role assumes responsibility for the on the day performance and delivery of our crew operations. This includes monitoring crucial performance metrics and devising initiatives to foster sustainable enhancements in operational performance, business resilience, productivity and colleague engagement.

About the role

  • Developing and leading the strategic transformation plan for Cabin Crew Operations, working cross-functionally, to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Controlling the cabin crew resourcing budget, whilst monitoring performance and building initiatives to drive lasting improvements in productivity and operational resilience.
  • Shaping the strategic agenda for Cabin Crew operations, working with Centralised Ops Planning, to deliver cost-effectiveness, flexibility, colleague engagement, and HCC agreement compliance.
  • Sponsoring and delivering operational and cross-directorate programmes, ensuring delivery of on-time performance and productivity metrics as well as broader LHR Cabin Crew targets
  • Leading the LHR Cabin Crew response to mitigate operational disruptions, guiding the team to implement systematic improvements that minimise customer impact and swiftly return to regular operations.
  • Drive significant improvement in crew operational performance through continuous enhancement of technology and available data
  • Taking a multi skilled approach to managing a successful and diverse team, with a clear strategy for talent acquisition and succession planning
  • Fostering a culture of collaboration between Cabin Crew operations and Trade Union colleagues based on trust and mutual respect
  • Supporting and promoting Safety and Security within the operational environment alongside the Cabin Safety team, identifying trends and managing investigations as necessary.
  • Leading all aspects of the Cabin Crew Business Resilience portfolio, including activating Gold and Silver Command and representing IFCE as needed.
  • Acting as Deputy for the Director of Cabin Crew when required.

About you

  • Proven experience in leading strategic transformation initiatives and collaborating with diverse parties
  • Strong financial competence with a track record of budget management and monitoring performance metrics
  • Demonstrable ability to drive operational excellence, improve NPS, and enhance productivity.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of managing and developing a diverse team and collaborative culture
  • Proficiency in data and technology to drive continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of operational safety, security, and compliance regulations
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
