Head of Brand Design
Hybrid role - 2 days per week in our London office
The Role
The Head of Brand Design will play a central role in driving the next phase of Rightmove’s growth. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer you will be responsible for the strategic development and execution of Rightmove's brand identity.
You will work closely with the Head of Experience Design to ensure consistency and excellence in execution across all brand touchpoints. Working alongside the other Heads of Department in the marketing team you will play a pivotal role in building out the marketing function at Rightmove, transforming our ways of working and making sure we take have the consumer at the heart of our business
You will be part of a wider leadership community across the business tasked with shaping and executing the business plan and building on Rightmove’s market leading position
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company's brand design strategy, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and values.
- Act as the guardian of the Rightmove brand, ensuring consistency and coherence across all marketing materials, communications, and touchpoints.
- Manage, lead, grow and develop the marketing design team, including providing creative direction, mentorship, and feedback.
- Work closely with the Head of Experience Design and their team to ensure the brand is consistently applied across all product touchpoints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and sales, to ensure brand consistency across all areas of the business.
- Develop and manage brand guidelines and tone of voice ensure they are regularly reviewed and updated.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies and share insights with the wider team and the Rightmove design community.
- Manage relationships with external design agencies and vendors, as required.
Profile of the candidate
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and talented brand designer with experience in leading teams and developing successful brand strategies. They should have experience of working in big, fast paced, digital D2C brands with a passion for brand and a strong focus on how it can be a driver of business growth.

- Strong design portfolio showcasing expertise in branding and visual communication.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Significant experience managing a design team and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the business.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget.
- A passion for design, creativity, and innovation.
