Job description

We need an ambitious Head Chef to come and create a team within this beautiful building. We need someone to embody our four core values:

  • We passionately pursue excellence and set the standards.
  • We welcome and encourage challenges.
  • We are always learning and developing.
  • We pave our own paths in the best interest of White Rabbit’s vision.

WHAT ARE YOUR MAIN DUTIES?

As Head Chef you will be a vital component in the day to day running of the kitchen. You will work closely with the Culinary Director to help create menus that sit seamlessly alongside the creative brand. You will be heading up a team of chefs so interpersonal skills are essential. The development and education of junior chefs is going to be key to our success and you must show a willingness to embrace this. As a whole team we will be very guest focused, which will require going above and beyond in all aspects of our work in order to achieve the high standards we, and our guests, expect.

In this role your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating menus aligned with the restaurant's ethos.
  • Delivering high quality dishes using seasonal Scottish ingredients.
  • Running the restaurant pass.
  • Mentoring and developing junior chefs to our high standard.

WHAT DO I NEED?

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a high volume and quality led senior role.
  • A high understanding of classic cookery and seasonal ingredients.
  • Experience implementing sustainable kitchen practices.
  • Knowledge of costings, health and safety and logistics for events.
  • An unrelenting pursuit of quality within all aspects of the kitchen.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

Aside from a salary of £50,000 per annum, we pride ourselves in offering:

  • A supportive, people-focussed culture.
  • Delicious meals whilst you’re at work and discounts across WRP restaurants in your free time.
  • Wellbeing initiatives such as access to Hospitality Action and Hapi our benefits platform.

In addition to all the above, joining the White Rabbit Projects family opens the door for so much possibility. We are a fast-growing team which means you will have ample opportunities to set up processes, share your expertise and learn until your heart (and brain) is content!
