Reporting to the Crew Chiefs, the Hangar Assistant is responsible for providing day to day support with the movement of aircraft, fork lift and crane operations, both in the Hangar and to Airport Critical Parts.

You will be responsible for liaising with the Crew Chief on duty, assisting with the movement of equipment around the Hangar, by carrying out fork lift and crane operations. The Hangar Assistant will act as tug driver for the positioning of aircraft in and out of the Hangar, taking instructions from a suitably qualified Engineer and in accordance with Company and airport procedures. Working closely with the Hangar Facilities Assistant, you will assist with the upkeep of the facility and access equipment, ensuring inspections are carried out in line with the Inspection Schedule and defects are reported immediately.

The Hangar Assistant will work 4 on 4 off on days/nights.

The successful candidate:

• 
  You will ideally have experience working in a similar position and have a good understanding of the aviation industry.
• You will hold a full and valid UK Driving License, whilst a full Fork Lift License would be desirable.
• Will have excellent organisation skills and the ability to always ensure a clean and tidy work environment.
