Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Train Cleaner to join our passionate and driven Cleaning team based in Manchester Piccadilly

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the internal of trains are cleaned to the required specification, in accordance with Health and Safety compliance.
- Ensure standards of cleaning meet or exceed the required standard.
- Carry out delegated cleaning tasks in accordance with agreed procedures which includes litter picking, removing unauthorised stickers, cleaning and replenishing toilets and toiletries, and all surfaces to be free from any obvious marks, staining & smearing, i.e., trinket trays, door panels, bulkheads, panels, bodyside panels, all roof areas etc. Hard floors are to be washed and free from any gum, stains, graffiti, spillages etc. within a timeframe
- The cleaning of bio-hazards and safe removal and correct disposal of sharps.
- To be always polite, professional, and friendly with customers, clients, and colleagues.
- To be able to work independently and with machinery.
About You:
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
- Flexible and able to provide cover in times of absence.
- Experience working within a team.
- Strong communication skills are a must.
- Previous cleaning experience and knowledge of cleaning procedures would be an advantage.
- You will need to pass a medical and Drug and alcohol test before you can go on the depot track safety course.
- The depot track safety course is for one day, you will need to pass the test at the end of the course.
- The shifts will include WEEKENDS.
- You must be able to work in a team.
Additional Information:
- You will be required to pass a Medical and Drug & Alcohol Test.
- Successful candidates will then need to pass a Depot Track Safety (DTS) Course.
- All uniforms and PPE will be provided.
- Free travel to and from work will be provided on the SWR network.
