Job Purpose:

• To produce high quality print to the timescales required for efficient working

• To keep the machine in good working order

Key Contacts/Working Relationships:

• The role is to be part of an overprint team

• The role reports directly to the Print Manager

Job Holder Responsibilities:

• To produce printed envelopes to the job specification supplied

• To ensure the quality of every job.

• To follow the quality standards as described in our ISO 9001 procedures for Printing.

• To complete all paperwork associated with the job and the quality procedure

• To ensure a high level of Health and Safety is maintained on the machine at all times

• To complete any routine cleaning and maintenance of the press (maintenance is supported by our internal team)

• To complete all hours as detailed in the shift pattern supplied and to provide holiday cover for other team members

• All work carried out and any waste created must be moved or disposed in adherence with our environmental standard ISO 14001

Decision Making Authority:

• Solo decision making on colour and print of every job produced, supported by the Line Manager (when on site) and the system at all times

Job Specific Skills Essential:

• Significant, recent experience of running a 2 colour press

• Excellent colour knowledge and be able to identify poor print

• Experience of using colour management standards

Preferred:

• Experience of running a Halm Jet presses would be beneficial

• Experience of working within ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 practices

Major Challenges:

• Ensuring high quality print at all times whilst keeping make ready and set-up times to a minimum for efficiency

Job Details:

Full time, permanent role working 40 hours per working week + a minimum of 8 hours overtime is required per week
