To assist the GSE Manager in the day-to-day running of the GSE Team and to Improve and sustain a high level of GSE operational performance, ensuring the equipment is safe and fit for purpose.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of equipment inspection, minor repairs, and liaising with our service providers and airport authority.
Candidate requirements
- Responsible for daily defecting reporting and the removal of defective equipment from the ramp.
- Responsible for ensuring equipment is sound cosmetically, with correct logos in place, and washed regularly.
- To be proactive in all areas by forward planning and taking responsibility for the job in hand.
- Ensure we are leaders in housekeeping on the airfield, with equipment being parked within designated parking bays and FOD is removed from vehicles.
- To actively give support, guidance, and encouragement to your work colleagues.
- Carry out minor GSE repairs.
- Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times.
- Safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of staff, customers, and other visitors as required in full compliance with the Company Health & Safety Policy.
- To process in a professional and confident way any questions, queries, or grievances.
- Any other reasonable duty as requested.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience and Knowledge of aviation services, in particular, ramp handling and GSE operations would be an advantage.
- Experience in liaising with service providers and suppliers.
- Able to work with a multifunctional workforce and adjust to the local condition of the station.
- Well organised with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, able to work on their own initiative to specific deadlines, have the ability to recognise and deal with challenges promptly and efficiently
- Demonstrate ability to lead, coach, and develop staff.
- Ability to work within a pressured environment.
- Must be flexible to adapt to changing demands/circumstances.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence, motivate, negotiate, and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Must be proactive and forward-thinking.
- Must be able to work all shifts Day/Night.
