We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Tax Manager to join our Finance Team.
With the fast growth and expansion experienced by all sides of the business – with a number of recent acquisitions, Lovehoney Group’s Tax exposure and compliance requirements have grown substantially creating the need for this new role. Your role will be to coordinate the Tax requirements and activities across all territories, ensuring that all filing/compliance requirements are met and that the optimal tax position is maintained.

Lovehoney Group has offices and operations spread across the UK, Switzerland, Germany, France, Canada, US, Australia, Hong Kong & China. Please note, some occasional travel may be required to our global offices.

Please note, you will be required to commute into our central Bath office 3 to 4 times per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the filing of the UK Corporate Tax returns, and all related submissions such as the R&D claim, utilising advisors but doing as much in house as is practical. Ensuring that we are fully compliant and optimising the position as appropriate.
- Manage local advisors to ensure that all appropriate tax returns in the US – federal, state, property etc are filed, that we are fully compliant and optimising the position as appropriate.
- Oversee and support the local finance teams and advisors in all other territories to ensure that all Corporate tax returns are completed appropriately and on time.
- Support the Group Finance team with both monthly and annual financial reporting requirements around tax provisioning and disclosures.
- Ensure that a Group Transfer pricing policy is fully implemented, that it is fit for purpose for all jurisdictions and that all documentation is maintained and kept up to date
- Implement Group Tax policies and procedures and roll out across the Group.
- Review the Group’s Tax position, identify any risks, shortfalls, issues and lead the implementation of mitigating action to minimise any impact
- Provide support on significant issues, and also perform occasional audits on other areas of Tax such as VAT.
- Review the Group’s statutory structure and identify any recommendations to improve the structure and tax efficiency of the Group.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- You will be a qualified tax professional with 3-5 years (post qualification) experience as a minimum
- Excellent working knowledge of best practice UK corporate tax law, compliance and reporting (ideally with international exposure)
- Additional work experience in a fast-growing, international setup as well as in the area of consumer goods, B2C and/or manufacturing is a plus
- You are well organised have a hands-on attitude as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels
- Ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally
