Job Purpose
To provide full accountability for analysing and reviewing the control of finished goods and raw material stocks across the Valeo Snackfoods group. Ensuring the integrity of the measurements and identify best practice and areas for focus & resolution. Performing manual transactions of finished goods and raw materials in areas which are not fully automated. Working cross functionally with both internal & external key stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
- The Stock Controller is expected to provide the lead for any requests for annual stock counting and provide an interface with the auditors in respect of the process & execution of the stock count.
- Develop and implement robust KPI’s to ensure optimal stock integrity. Support the team to ensure inventory stocks are kept in line with Business KPI’s
- To thoroughly understand and interpret all data transactions relating to finished goods and implement proactive and innovative solutions to ensure the accuracy of stocks are maintained.
- Ensure all stock discrepancies are analysed and resolved in a timely manner to minimise the impact to operational planning & reporting potential financial losses/gains.
- Ensure all potential risks are identified and communicated to the senior leadership team.
- Maintain all aspects of stock integrity and ensure ownership of activities and resolutions.
- Create a consistent reporting suite and output measuring critical stock integrity between the business and outside storage locations including 3PL & Co-Packing warehouses.
- Ensure all day-to-day stock integrity issues are being managed effectively and all escalations/issues dealt with appropriately.
- Creation of an SOP for managing all aspects of stock management processes.
- Performing stock checks as required to verify stock accuracy and facilitate in any internal or external audit requests.
- Develop business relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Design strategies to minimize the cost or time required to move goods.
- Review the success of logistical functions and identify areas for improvement.
- Present performance data to Logistics’ Management Team.
- Develop and maintain a Master stock List for future acquisitions.
- Work alongside the Logistics team on new developments assisting in CI opportunities.
- Stay current on advances in technology (Stock Management Systems) and incorporate new technologies into procedures.
- Responsible for actual inventory counts; must be knowledgeable about inventory items to be counted, the counting procedures used, and location of all inventories.
- Reconciliation and reporting of inventory across multiple operating systems.
- In-depth ability to analyse stock integrity issues, identify plan for resolution and engage with appropriate stakeholders to rectify any identified issues.
- Timeliness of stock movements from manufacturing and warehouse sites to 3PL
- Period performance reviews to discuss attainment against the service agreement & improvement to service levels

HSE Responsibilities (Levels 3 & 4)
Lead by example to set expectations, plan work to be carried out in a safe manner, take action to prevent risk of harm to their team. Challenge and address unsafe behaviour, be involved in testing emergency procedures, lead accident & incident investigations to establish root causes and preventative measures. Deliver safety briefings to your team so you are seen as the safety leader of your team. Make available team embers to support the company safety program.

Experience and Qualifications
- Previous stock control experience in high-volume warehouses environment.
- Able to build and develop relationships across all levels and functions and have experience working at a strategic level.
- Experience of delivering complex management information with Excel at advanced stage and database management skills, along with a knowledge of standard stock management packages.
- Ability to work under pressure & confident communicator at all levels.
- Agile and flexible to travel to support all 3PL’s and other VSF sites
