We are the highest Ofsted-rated provider in the country for special education and care. Our teams are fulfilled by the idea of making even the smallest positive changes in our young people, so we celebrate the little things.
For children with complex needs the level of care and education we provide must go above and beyond. That’s what drives us here at Witherslack Group. With our high staff-to-child ratio and in-house clinical teams, we’re proud to have won a reputation for excellence and market leading OFSTED ratings.
Get out what you put in
In this role you’ll plan, develop and implement strategies to help us achieve a high standard of health and safety across our schools, children’s homes and head office. You’ll manage a team of Risk Managers who will work with you to oversee and conduct safety inspections, ensure safety policies are adhered to and deliver necessary training to the business. As Group Head of Health and Safety you’ll also need to keep on top of any new legislation and ensure that the group is compliant.
You will help identify and drive our environmental, social and governance initiatives, working with a range of stakeholders to ensure that the group achieves and maintains and excellent ESG rating. As someone who’s forward thinking, you’ll make sure we stay one step ahead
Bring your whole self to work
First and foremost, you will have a passion for Health and Safety and be an expert in your field. You’ll have a real understanding of why the work you do is so important, and the impact that the environment can have on our young people. Your experience will be across a multi-site organisation, and you’ll have chartered IOSH membership and a NEBOSH general certificate (as a minimum).
