Role:
Heaton Group are looking for a creative and versatile middleweight Graphic Designer to join our friendly team based in our Sales & Marketing office in Wigan Town Centre.
This is a full-time, permanent, on-site role.
Reporting to our Sales & Lettings Director, you will be responsible for all aspects of the business’s design creation and concept development. You will be joining a very fast-paced environment; on a day-to-day basis, you will be managing multiple workloads, moving from long-term brand implementation to supporting our Marketing Assistant with content and campaign design.
Responsibilities:
Although these can vary depending on the developments and the needs of the business, the core responsibilities include:
· Create visually appealing and effective designs for various digital and printed materials such as: development and group brochures, e-books, social media assets, website banners, email marketing assets, wayfinding, signage, hoarding, logos for brands and developments across the group, as well as other merchandise and promotional materials.
· Conducting quality checks on all design materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines, making necessary revisions and improvements as needed.
· Preparing files for printing, ensuring that proper specifications, resolution, colour modes, and file formats are adhered to.
· Working with our print vendors to oversee the printed production process and ensuring that the final printed materials meet quality standards.
· Re-organising and maintaining our digital library of design assets for all developments and brands across the group, including logos, images, templates, and other branded documentation, for easy retrieval and re-use.
· Working closely with our in-house marketing team, external agencies, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, provide design recommendations, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality designs.
· Collaborating and working as part of the marketing team to develop creative concepts and ideas for marketing campaigns, promotions, and other initiatives, ensuring that the designs align with the company's goals and target audience.
· Coordinating required agency work, managing allocated budgets.
· Prioritising and managing multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
· Keeping abreast of the latest design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices, applying them where appropriate to maintain the company's competitive edge and improve design outcomes.
· Provide support and assistance to the rest of the marketing team as and where required.
Skills:
· Proven experience as a Graphic Designer (required).
· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign (required).
· Strong knowledge of design principles, typography, layout, colour theory, and branding (required).
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team (required).
· Knowledge of print production processes, specifications, and file preparation (required).
· Strong time management and organisational abilities (required).
· Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work (required).
· A degree or diploma in graphic design or a related field (desirable. We are more interested in seeing the quality of your design work during the interview process.)
Salary & Benefits:
· £27,000-30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
· 22 days holiday (excluding bank holidays), increasing by one day per year of service.
