Job Description:
**12 month contract role
You are a passionate creative with an enthusiasm for all things design and multi-media. The digital space is your canvas and you have a curious mind to try new things and explore the latest technologies. Collaboration, creativity and out-of-the box thinking are what you bring to this distinctive role with high-quality design always top of mind.
The Insurance Marketing Team collaborates with members of Insurance and beyond, to create award winning marketing materials. The Digital Graphic Designer will be responsible for design, development and video expertise and offer consultation on marketing projects from concept to deployment that are on-brand and on-strategy. Tactics include but are not limited to design mock-ups and wireframes, email campaigns, unique landing pages and web forms, static and HTML5 web banners, social media images, interactive PDF’s and videos.
What will you do?
Research and develop digital design and mutimedia solutions that have the end user and AODA best practices top of mind.
Explore, design and present design concepts to key-stakeholders that can be adapted across various digital assets.
Provide design and multimedia consulting advice on how to best execute on the vision of key digital initiatives for advisors and clients.
Develop, design and execute video projects from end-to-end including consulting, storyboarding, video production, animation, post-production, working with digital teams and vendors, archiving files and managing digital site change and content update requests.
Provide consultation, design and development to wire frames, graphic user interfaces, email campaigns and web landing pages, while keeping the user journey and analytics accounted for.
Continuously identify opportunities to create additional value, be proactive with ideas and creative solutions and share with the rest of the design team.
Support the team with print related design projects when needed.

What do you need to succeed?
Post-secondary education, including completion of a graphic or web design program at a recognized college; or an undergraduate degree in a related discipline.
3 or more years of experience in digital graphic design.
An understanding of usability, accessibility, cross-browser compatibilities and semantic markup.
Sound knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and Acrobat) on Mac OS.
Sound knowledge of Microsoft tools to design within (Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel) on Mac OS.
Video storyboarding, production, subtitles, animation and post-production expertise.
Responsive digital design and front-end development of landing pages and web forms.
HTML email design and coding experience, and understanding how to work creatively within its limitations.
Experience using an HTML email testing platform to effectively preview and debug code.
W3C and AODA standards compliance that applies to design, structure and coding best practices.
Skilled in HTML, HTML5, CSS, Javascript and Bootstrap as well as CMS integration experience.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
