The Guildhall is a major public building standing prominently in the heart of the city near the Abbey.


Building Services Officers perform an essential role in preparing the building for external functions, festivals, conferences, concerts, weddings and supporting Council teams based in this historic building.


This multi-skilled and dynamic position involves keeping users safe and ensuring all activities run smoothly. The role involves a wide range of duties including room setups, front-of-house attendance, general cleaning, washroom replenishment, security, patrolling and porterage duties.


In addition to working at the Guildhall it is expected that the post holder will cover similar duties in Lewis House, Bath, as required.


The hours are as required on a casual basis.


Applicants must be well presented, good communicators, and confident when working in a busy public environment. The ability to carry out work involving manual handling is essential and training in this and other key tasks is provided. Good basic IT skills are required, and some knowledge of P.A. systems is an advantage. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to build their facilities experience.
