WE ARE: A Canadian, family owned women's fashion company. We have 2 retail stores, an online website and have exposure to all of Canada with our wholesale operations. We supply independent boutiques and Today's Shopping Choice (TSC).
RESPONSIBILITIES: Your duties will include marketing and graphic design where we would need your expertise in photo editing, e-commerce maintenance, advertising, and social media content.
This individual will work closely with our Creative Marketing Lead and will report directly to them.
We are looking for a candidate who can independently create online digital content, marketing materials, sales documents, and trade show materials. They will also be responsible for market research and analysis.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Retouch, resize, and process images for online and offline production using Photoshop.
- Manage online activities: organizing promotions, making advertising decisions, creating and updating web content (ongoing web maintenance).
- Handle all social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and Blog. This includes managing customer inquiries and comments etc.
- Explore, learn and utilize the existing or new tools and features in each social media platform to maximum the social media marketing result.
- Assist in building and executing social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification.
- Collaborate with the Creative Marketing Lead to plan and develop site content, style and layout.
- SEO - understand/be aware of small changes needed to maximize/ensure success of site.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office – Excel, Mail Chimp, Adobe Creative Suite and other software related to design.
- Customer service skills to handle online inquiries and issues that arise from our retail e-commerce website.
Desired Requirements:
- Education: Business Marketing, Advertising, or closely related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Magento e-commerce platform.
- Ability to write, proofread and edit content in a clear and accurate manner for product descriptions, printed materials and digital media.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to make data-informed decisions.
- Must have a comprehensive understanding of e-commerce strategies, conversion rate optimization, and SEO techniques.
- Have creative problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset to drive business growth.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Team player: Able to work well with others.
- Excellent editing (photo/video), presentation and communication skills.
- Hands on experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, MS Office and WordPress.
Job Type: Full-Time Monday to Friday 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. Some weekend hours required during trade show season. Perks include:
