Job Title: Graphic Designer
Direct Manager: Design Manager
· Full Time Position
· £24,000 per annum
· 42.5 hours (Monday to Friday 9.30am to 6.00pm, but may adjust depending on season).
· 20 days holiday, plus bank holidays (28 in total)
Out of Hand is an established design, print, distribution, and outdoor advertising specialist based in Bristol. We work with businesses and organizations of all sizes across the South West and Wales and have built a good reputation for providing high quality, cost effective and reliable services catering for the events and leisure sector.
The ideal candidate for this role will be hard working, conscientious, reliable, and methodical.
General:
Working with the Studio Manager from pitch, quote and concept to creative, proofing, through to communication of final amount to customer service team for billing.
You will assist in creating high quality finished artwork to client specifications, working in an efficient manner that maximizes revenue for this service. This includes all relevant client interactions and must also include any agreed working practices. Oversee and carry out correct preparation of artwork for external publishing, including archiving and any relevant amends required.
Main responsibilities:
Working with OPS, our bespoke operating system, and using all other internal systems, including liaising with internal staff; clients, agents and suppliers to ensure all order requirements are understood and fulfilled, undertaking all administration work necessary to complete this accurately and in a timely fashion.
Production of original, high-quality artwork for required print, web and digital projects. Finding creative solutions to briefs, including the sourcing of any appropriate images required and ensuring client expectations are fully met.
Liaising with clients through all stages from initial quote, pitch / proposal (written and face to face), brief to artwork approval stages, including satisfying any company order requirements and customer deadlines that have been agreed.
Work with the Design Managerto ensure that the design department works within any specialist legal requirements, e.g. copyright laws.
Ensuring working methods are always in line with Out of Hand’s agreed studio procedures, specifically in the areas of OPS, timesheets, artwork file structure and archiving systems.
Working with the Design Managerto contribute to the artistic development of the Out of Hand brand and its products including internal documents, branding and associated digital assets.
Fill in time sheets daily and submit within daily deadlines (recording use of pre-paid library images once system is implemented). Invoice customers at agreed timescales.
Participate in the generation of ideas to the benefit of Out of Hand.
Any other reasonable task required to ensure the success of Out of Hand Ltd.
