Control Techniques (CT) is part of the Industrial Automation business within the Nidec Group. We are a leading global provider of AC & DC drives for electric motors, used by our customers worldwide in commercial and industrial applications (e.g. Lifts, Robots, Rollercoaster rides).
Purpose of the Role
The Graphic Designer is responsible for overseeing the production of all content created within the marketing department. From capturing accurate creative briefs to ensuring delivery of finalised assets on time and within budget, the role controls the entire content production process.
As an advocate of, and ambassador for, Control Techniques’ brand and visual identity, the Graphic Designer upholds the principles and ethos of the brand, ensuring all content created meets the required standards.
The Graphic Designer will work as part of a team of designers and with a team of internal content creators, including copywriting, photography, and video, and will manage their time and resource to ensure efficient delivery of required assets. The role will also oversee a network of external creative partners, including agencies and freelancers, and will be a point of contact for these resources.
This position reports directly to the Global Marketing Communications Manager and is situated within Global Marketing at Control Techniques headquarters in Newtown.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for facilitating the production of all marketing content including, but not limited to, graphical assets, text/copy assets and digital assets.
- The role acts as Brand champion, policing and upholding the design guidelines globally
- Support the Digital, Launch & Campaign, and Field Marketing teams with content requirements as well as internal departments
- Brief and distribute content creation tasks and projects to in-house and external content resources
- Manage a pipeline of content activity, ensuring deadlines are met and projects operate within budget
- Client (internal or external) management, including taking briefs, and keeping clients up to date with the progress of projects
- Drive the implementation of systems and processes within the studio to further improve efficiency, profitability, job flow, and output
- Develop new ideas and strategies for improving departmental efficiency and client servicing
- Be a leader; manage projects, teams, and meetings efficiently and effectively. Use authority and influence appropriately to strengthen relationships with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Fluent in English
- Working knowledge of Adobe design & production systems.
- GCSE or equivalent English or Math’s, Grade C or above.
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Proven experience in content creation and delivery
