Role Description

Cream lead the way in electronic music in the UK. Our passionate, dedicated team works on world class festivals and events that engage huge numbers of fans each year. Our brands include Cream, Creamfields and On The Waterfront Festival and we regularly promote artist led tours with some of the biggest names in electronic music.

We’re looking for a designer to work closely with the Head of Marketing & Creative to deliver outstanding design and video content. The ideal candidate will be both a creative talent and an organised team player with great attention to detail.

The role requires a candidate with a wide range of skillsets, able to work in a variety of formats across a multiple platforms. From editing festival highlight and promo videos, through short form TikTok and Instagram Stories clips, traditional print flyers and posters to design for social media, paid digital marketing and more operational materials like staff guides and signage.

As part of the marketing team at Cream you will be integral to delivering campaigns for our festivals and events all year round. The role can be fast paced to respond to changes in market conditions whilst still allowing time for more involved creative projects. Cream is made up of some of the most experienced yet approachable people in the industry who are passionate about what they do in their respective roles. We work in an informal but focused environment with the overall goal of selling out every show we promote.

Who you are

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

  • A passion for music, festivals and events, ideally electronic taking pride in playing your part in delivering first class events to fans of all backgrounds
  • Demonstrable design experience (minimum 4 years) in a professional in-house or agency setting
  • Ability to interpret and respond creatively to a brief, following through to final execution across all deliverable channels
  • Excellent organisational skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure and multi-task to meet deadlines.
  • Your communication skills are strong, and effective.
  • You are a natural collaborator, working cross functionally and at all levels, internally and externally
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency.
  • Proven ability in the creative process and ability to deliver projects on time.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premier, After Effects)
  • Design and deliver digital, print and video assets to excite and engage our fans, driving brand awareness, engagement and ticket sales across multiple channels and platforms
  • Some 3D skills would be desirable but not essential (Blender, Cinema 4D or 3DS Max)
  • Experience of purchasing print would be advantageous but not essential
  • A flexible approach to work with a willingness to be involved in the wider marketing process where necessary
  • A basic knowledge of HTML / CSS would also be advantageous

What the role includes

  • You will be the guardian of our brand, working on brand guidelines for external creators and ensuring their application
  • You will continue to develop and expand our brand and be involved in annual refreshes / rebrands of festival campaigns
  • You will design assets for use on social media, our websites, in print and in digital ad campaigns and in our Official App
  • You will be involved in the brief process for outside agencies for graphic design and video
  • You will maintain an archive of video footage captured at our festivals and events
  • You will edit, title, add FX, colour grade and output video in portrait short form and longer widescreen formats
  • You will source and buy print for flyers and posters / large format out of home
  • You will manage the relationship with our merchandise company, collaborating on set times laminate production and merchandise ranges
  • You will work with the Operations department to produce accreditation, signage, guides, event branding and other assets as required
  • You will be involved in creating the public facing site maps for our festivals (ideally in 3D)
  • You will create presentations / decks for partners, brand guidelines and reports

Key Dates

You will be required to attend the following confirmed events plus any other events not yet confirmed;

Creamfields North (event dates 24-27th August 2023) – working on site for the the week before and the whole of event week and extended hours on event days.
